Children’s Day 2025 Celebrations, Conducted by Department of Paediatrics, on 14th November, 2025

The Department of Pediatrics, BGS GIMS organized the children’s day celebrations on 14th Nov 2025. The entire team of Pediatrics began its preparation by adorning the lecture hall with colourful props and balloons. In the august presence of Dean Dr ME Mohan sir, various Hods, Faculty and Pgs the audience was welcomed by Dr. Mouna (3rd year Paediatrics Pg) followed by invocation song and lamp lighting.

       The curtains to the event were raised by seeking the blessings of his divine soul Padmabushana Sri Sri Sri Dr Balgangadharanatha Swamiji, Sri Sri Sri Nirmalanandanatha swamiji and Lord Prakashnatha swamiji. Prof and Head Dr. Purnima S gave inaugural speech followed by a PPT presentation on the importance of children’s day by Dr. Kruthi. The theme of childrens day 2025 “For every Child, every right” which is promoted by UNICEF was highlighted and childrens rights were emphasised upon.

           The Chief guest for the event, our Dean cum Principal Dr.M. E Mohan addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of children’s upbringing in building a good nation. It was followed by distribution of certificates by the Dean to the toppers of RGUHS MD Pediatrics Exam –Dr. Kruthi M & MBBS Pediatrics topper Dr. Shreya H. The winners and runners of Immunization quiz, Breastfeeding & ORS Poster presentations for 2025 were also rewarded. The occasion was also graced by Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Nischal and the administration team.

It was followed by cultural events, beginning with melodious kannada songs by Dr.Vyshak and group, Hindi songs by 3rd year MBBS students Adithya and group. Children from Pediatric wards and OPD also attended the event with much enthusiasm along with their parents who were very happy to be part of the celebrations. The kids sang nursery rhymes and danced to popular kannada songs.

A fun quiz for children and audience was organized by Dr Kruthi & Dr. Sanjana. There was active participation in a fun, competitive spirit by the staff of various departments and students. Chocolates were distributed for right
